Using gentle micro massage, the procedure removes dead skin cells while stimulating blood flow and lymphatic drainage to the area being treated. This results in soft, smooth and more hydrated skin that glows. The treatment is completely pain free with very minimal to no downtime.

Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion is an effective treatment for:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Dull and stressed skin

  • Skin congestion

  • Excess oil production

  • Blackheads and whiteheads

  • Enlarged and open pores

  • Acne and red acne scars

  • Superficial scar reduction

  • Superficial age spots

  • Lymphatic drainage and removing toxins

  • Skin smoothing and exfoliation

How does the treatment work?
Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment that removes only the top layer of dead skin. The diamond tip wand is gently glided across the skin using light suction. The dead skin is then vacuumed away leaving you with a fresh smooth canvas. Areas close to the eyes and mouth can also be safely treated. Diamond tip machines are easier to control, are less irritating to the skin, and result in a more precise treatment. We use a medical-grade diamond tip machine for all our microdermabrasion treatments to obtain the best results possible.

What areas can be treated?
Microdermabrasion treatments can safely be performed over the entire body! However it is commonly used to treat areas such as the face, neck, décolletage, upper back and hands.

How many treatments are recommended?

For best results, it’s necessary to have multiple treatments over a period of time. For general skin rejuvenation, approximately six treatments are required. For problematic skins, a course of six to twelve treatments are recommended. Treatments can also be performed ongoing for

general skin health and maintenance.

How often can a Microdermabrasion treatment be performed?

Treatments can be performed every two to three weeks. Because the skin is constantly renewing itself, we recommend regular treatments to keep your skin looking it's best.

What is the downtime and are there any side effects?
Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion treatments are completely painless, suitable for all skin types and is a safe procedure. Treatments can be performed allowing you to get back to your normal daily activities. It is very normal for the skin to be slightly pink afterwards. This can last up to a few hours. Mild flaking or shedding of the skin is common within the first few days if your skin is new to the treatment. If any acne pustules have been treated, the area may appear to be red and small scabs may form, this usually clears up after several days. It’s essential that you don’t pick any scabs, as this can cause scarring. After a few days, you will see a visible improvement. Dull and stressed looking skin will

appear to look smoother and fresher. It is very important that you wear a high SPF protection as your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays for  fourteen days post treatment. We strongly recommend Skinstitut Age Defence 50 Plus as this product had been found to not clog or congest

the skin.
