How does Laser Tattoo removal work?
Laser tattoo removal works by using high-energy, short pulses of laser light to target the tattoo ink in the skin. The Medlite C6, being a medical-grade laser, emits intense laser rays with precision. The laser light is absorbed by the tattoo pigment, causing it to break down into smaller particles. Once the ink particles are shattered, the body's immune system recognises them as foreign substances and starts to eliminate them naturally.
Over time, the body's lymphatic system removes the fragmented ink particles, leading to fading and removal of the tattoo. Multiple laser tattoo removal sessions are typically required to achieve the desired results since not all ink particles can be treated in a single session. The number of sessions needed varies depending on factors like the size, colour, and depth of the tattoo, as well as individual skin characteristics.
What areas can be treated with Laser Tattoo Removal?
Nearly anywhere on the body where a tattoo has been placed can safely be treated with the Medlite C6 Laser.
How many treatments will I need to remove my tattoo?
Estimations can only be made as to how many treatments are needed for a desired outcome. An average client may need anywhere from 6 to 12 or more treatments. Different factors will determine the number of treatments required. If you are wishing to only lighten a tattoo in order to replace the area with a new tattoo, lesser treatments may be needed.
How often can I do Laser Tattoo Removal?
We perform treatments at a minimum of 6 weeks apart, allowing for sufficient healing and recovery. The body needs time to break down the ink particles and eliminate them effectively.

After the treatment, the area may feel tender and appear red or swollen. In some cases, small blisters and crusting may develop. These reactions are normal and will heal. Your practitioner will discuss all aftercare instructions with you. It is very important that you follow the advice given.
