The Lamprobe device, also known as 'Clinical Skin Clear' by ClinicalPRO, is a non-invasive treatment that effectively removes and reduces minor skin abnormalities using high-frequency and radio-frequency technology. It can safely treat concerns such as telangiectasia/broken capillaries, milia, cholesterol deposits, clogged pores, cherry angiomas, spider naevi, skin tags, fibromas, and pimples. How does Lamprobe work?

The Lamprobe works by combining radio and high-frequency technology to target the fluids in skin abnormalities. It denatures the proteins in the lesion and dries them out using a vaporisation technique, which does not cause damage to the surrounding tissues. The device does not penetrate the skin surface but focuses on the core of the abnormalities.

During the procedure, a sterilised disposable probe is chosen based on the concerns being treated. The probe is gently applied to the area using the necessary technique. The treatment is non-invasive and suitable for most skin types.

What areas can be treated with Lamprobe?

How many treatments do I need?

How often can I have Lamprobe treatments?

Lamprobe treatments can be safely performed at 6 week intervals. This allows enough time for the treated area to heal and for you to see the results before scheduling the next session.

 

What is the downtime for the Lamprobe?

Depending on the skin irregularity or lesion treated, the lamprobe generally has very minimal downtime. Light crusting, scaling, redness and swelling may be present for some. These reactions are normal and will heal. A medicated antibacterial ointment will be applied to the area post-procedure. Aftercare products are available at the clinic and you will be given an instruction sheet to take with you.

 

How do I prepare for Lamprobe?

• A thorough consultation and patient assessment are necessary to determine suitability for the treatment.

• If applicable, the treated area should be clean-shaven well before or at least 24 hours prior to the treatment.

• Avoid sunburns and excessive UV exposure before the treatment.

• If applicable to treatment area, clients with recent Botox and filler injections must wait 2 to 3 weeks (or as advised by their injection administrator) for all injectables to settle in before commencing the treatment.

• If applicable to treatment area, clients should attend their appointment make-up free.

• Active herpes, lesions, or other skin infections must not be present in the treatment area.

• If you suffer from herpes (applicable to treatment area), preventative measures are recommend.

• Follow the pre and post-care instructions provided by the clinic.

• Inform the practitioner of any medications, medical conditions, or recent procedures before the treatment.

 

Will Lamprobe hurt?
Lamprobe treatments are generally considered mild and pain-free for most people. You may feel a little sting or pinch during the procedure. Zimmer Cooling is offered to minimise any discomfort for your comfortably.
 

Can I do other treatments with Lamprobe?

Yes, you can combine Lamprobe treatments with LED light therapy for faster recovery, and basic skin facials can be done on the same day before the Lamprobe treatment.
